As the Associate Director of Operations and Services, Fernando provides direction and leadership pertaining to facilities and construction projects in the residence halls. Fernando assists in coordinating communication between Residential Services and Facilities Management. He works with direct staff to make space improvements in residence halls, provide timely notices of building construction to residents and detects facility patterns in order to prioritize and plan for urgent repairs and or maintenance. Additionally, he aids in the creation of preventative maintenance programs to keep building systems from failing and to predict the health and sustainability of residence halls.
