Faculty-in-Residence

The Faculty-in-Residence (FIR) is part of the Residential Area Leadership team, working collaboratively with live-in Resident Directors and members of the Residential Services central team.  The FIR regularly hosts social events to engage with residents of the area and is regularly engaging with students in formal and informal settings. The FIR is a full time Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty member who is provided with a fully furnished on-campus apartment in addition to a $15,000 stipend spread across 12 months and a limited meal plan to carry out their expectations.

Residential Colleges

Faculty Chair

Each residential college Faculty Chair provides intellectual leadership and direction to their college through hands on work with the elected student executive board, members of the college staff, and pool of faculty fellows.  The Faculty chair works in collaboration with the student members to cultivate the college theme, nurture engagement, and assemble a slate of academic and cultural events for members of the residential college.  The Faculty Chair regularly participates in the life of the college through attendance at events, holding office hours, planning events, and attending executive board meetings. The Faculty chair is a full-time Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty member and provided with annual stipend of $12,363 spread across 12 months and a limited meal plan to carry out their expectations.
