Deb (she/her/hers) joined the Residential Services team in January 2022 and currently serves as the Program Manager overseeing Student Staff Recruitment and Training and Leadership opportunities. Most recently, Deb worked at Dalton State College in Northwest Georgia as the Assistant Director of Residential Life and previously worked at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Fraternity & Sorority Life and at the University of West Georgia and Texas Tech University in a variety of Housing roles. She received her Masters Degree in College Student Personnel from Appalachian State University (Go Apps!), and a B.F.A from Valdosta State University in Mass Media and a concentration in Audio Production.
Her professional interests include student leadership, training and development of student and professional staff and fraternity & sorority life. She has served as a volunteer for several fraternal organizations including Alpha Gamma Delta, Phi Kappa Psi, Alpha Sigma Tau and Sigma Kappa and has been recognized for her case study team work with her past students at the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV) Central Conferences.
Outside of work, Deb enjoys cooking, baking, and all things Disney with her husband Sean and son SJ. She has taught her cat Paco tricks for treats and firmly believes that Buzz Lightyear can indeed fly as evidenced in her house on a regular basis. She is an avid college football fan, and pancakes are frequently on the menu for College Football Saturdays.
