Graphic Designer
Alex is a graphic designer and mentor for Student Affairs Marketing. She graduated from DePaul with a B.A. in Psychology and a double major in Art, Media, and Design. During university, Alex worked as a freelance photographer, documenting concerts and events, as well as a freelance graphic designer. She has photographed musical artists such as Twin Peaks, The Growlers, and Mac Demarco. She also was the Vice President of the DePaul Artist Collective where she brought together a community of artists and began mentoring.
After graduating, Alex fully transitioned into graphic design and worked for a market research company where she worked closely with an international team of designers, eventually mentoring and managing the team. Mentoring designers has been a great combination of two passions: helping others and art direction. Alex lives in Uptown. Outside of work, she is probably trying a new plant-based recipe or taking a long city walk that somehow passes by the beach. In the future, Alex hopes to expand her freelance work, learn UX/UI, and look for more ways to give back and live more sustainably.
